マイクロソフトが無料で提供を予定しているセキュリティソフトのベータ版が公開されました。
Windows Vistaと同時期にリリースされた「Windows Live OneCare」の後継製品になります。
現時点でのポイントを整理
製品のポイント
- 「Windows Live OneCare」の後継製品
- マルウェア対策機能のみ無料で提供
- 「Morro」というコードネームで開発されていた
- 対応OSはWindows XP/Vista/7
- 年内リリース予定
ベータ版のポイント
- 英語版、簡体字中国語版、ポルトガル語版のベータ版が公開 （2009年6月24日現在）
- 米国、英国、イスラエル、中国、ブラジルでのみダウンロード可能 （2009年6月24日現在）
- Windows XPは32ビット版のみ、Windows Vista/7は32ビット、64ビット版ともにダウンロード可能 （2009年6月24日現在）
- ダウンロード数の上限は7万5000 （変更の可能性あり）
